At CP, we help people find their voice. Our speech pathologists and communication technology specialists assess and train individuals in the functional use of basic non-speech communication boards as well as sophisticated, computer–based devices with electronic speech output including the iPad.

Some people with physical challenges are prevented from using home and school or work computers in their conventional forms, so we use adaptive computer equipment to assist each person in meeting these challenges, and continually work with them on modifications and workstation adjustments to maximize independent computer utilization.

In addition to the initial assessment, other ACT services may include:

- Equipment and support
- Placing the equipment order
- Equipment customization
- Equipment training and support

Professional Staff
Our staff are specifically certified as Assistive Communication Technologies specialists. In addition to what our staff provides on a one-on-one basis, we also offer training opportunities for educational professionals, therapists, support staff, parents, family members and caregivers through the Programming Advanced Customization and Training (PACT) program.
